Close relationship between Artego and Truckland

It was a long-cherished wish for Armenian brothers Artak and Egor Gevorkian. Once they would set up their own transport company. Trucks spoke to them and they wanted to do something with it. The wish remained a dream for a long time, but since 2011 Artak has become reality. The company started with the purchase of a used Iveco box truck at Truckland Zaandam.

Then the story continues as an exciting boy’s book. Artak got help from his brother Egor and Artak’s son Ararat is now also part of the management team. Separately, none of the three has a large driver’s license, so they leave the trucks running. The Gevorkians themselves manage the management, administration, planning and maintenance with clients. The customer-oriented approach of the company appeals to this and explains the continuing growth of the company.

“In good and pleasant consultation with Onno Terpstra from Truckland we bought a total of nine young used DAF XF tractors. All with little mileage, a Euro5 engine, automatic transmission and in the (house) color white. Together with our trailers we transport pallets and roll containers from depot to depot. For another client, we have purchased five new Fiat Ducato vans from Truckland. A short, three medium and a long one. With this we deliver packages every day in the region, “says the enthusiastic board members.

“We are well on track and monitor our working methods every day”, continues Ararat. “We currently have capacity for more work and can also invest in new trucks if necessary. That fits with our philosophy. We invest everything we earn in the company again.

The moment we order our first new Euro 6 DAF at Truckland is close by. Thanks to a large and correct driver team and the self-scheduling of the journeys, we can use our cars 24 hours a day within the driving times rules with two drivers. We have TomTom in all cars and can keep clients informed of possible delays due to traffic jams. It is also important that our cars are always clean and look representative. This also applies to our drivers. We always ask them to be neatly dressed, shaved and with a good mood to go to work, to pay attention to their driving style and to be customer-friendly. As a team we regularly meet and discuss this, it largely determines our success. Good standards and values, but also quality delivery are important to us! “

In addition to the delivery of vehicles, Truckland also provides major maintenance to the Fiats, DAFs and trailers. “Small maintenance does our own service team. Truckland also provides the Code 95 training for our drivers, “Artak adds.

Corporate Social Responsibility also belongs to Artego. “As a sponsor, we donate in the Netherlands and abroad an amount for disabled people (including Ango Midden Kennemerland), but also school stuff and school bags for people who have a hard time and can not buy it themselves.”
